‘Nordgrass’, Wizards, Pirates And More; Gracie Theater Announces 13th Season

The upcoming 2024/2025 season at Husson University's Gracie Theatre promises exciting and entertaining offerings.

“This season is a sure-fire hit because it truly has something for everyone," said Managing Artistic Director Jeri Misler. "The season is filled with more Broadway stars than we have ever had on our stage.”

They'll kick off their 13th year in October with some real star power, as Broadway Star Syndee Winters (well-known for "The Lion King" and "Hamilton", puts on a show of some of her greatest hits.

In November there are 3 great offerings of music. The first is a performance of Mozart's Requiem by the multi-group "Classical Uprising."

In the middle of the month, American Authors, a band best known for their recognizable hit "Best Day Of My Life" The band American Authors, will perform at the Gracie on November 15th.

American Women will start a run of 2 holiday-themed shows, with a performance of Americana Christmas. followed in December by a Rocky Mountain Christmas tribute to John Denver.

To start the New Year off the right way, the Gracie will host Imagine, The Solo Years in January.

A two-day celebration of films will take place at the beginning of February, with the international film competition, the Banff Film Festival.

February also offers the Wizard Academy and Pirate School, The Boy Band Project, and a music theatre piece called Unbought.

Have you ever heard of "Nordgrass?" It's a mix of Nordic Folk, music and Bluegrass music. The Finnish folk ensemble, "Frigg" will play the stage at the Gracie in March.

This year's season will finish up at the beginning of April will a one-woman comedy show called "The Bride, Or Does This Dress Make Me Look Married?"

Officials at the Gracie say taking in a show at the theater is a one-of-a-kind experience.

"The Gracie is a 490-seat performance venue that has a unique niche for the arts in Greater Bangor. An intimate space, it provides patrons and performers with a more personal, up-close experience than is available elsewhere in the region."
