Hathaway Holiday Light Show Opened Up In Veazie This Week
A Christmas tradition for many in Eastern Maine, the Hathaway Holiday Lights display opened for another year at the Veazie Community School last weekend.
With over 110,000 lights and some new interactive displays, the show looks especially festive with a new coating of snow!
With several new characters programmed to music that can be heard by tuning in to a particular station, this year's display won't disappoint.
For years, the Hathaway family has put on a local light show, collecting donations for the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
It started at their home in Bangor, but as it expanded, and the display became a popular destination for folks looking for holiday lights to admire, they moved the operation to the front lawn of the Veazie Community School.
This year, the display will run from 4:30-8:00 PM through December 10th. On December 11th they will expand the hours a bit from 4:00 to 9:00 PM through Christmas Day.

If you've got a holiday light display you're particularly proud of, don't forget to enter it into our "Light Up Eastern And Central Maine" contest for a chance at $500!
