Ever Wonder what the Inside of this Veazie, ME Home Looks Like?
I'm always a sucker for a cool house.
I suppose someday, I could see a world where I could be a real estate agent. It's probably more work to get certified than I'll ever want to put into it, but in general, I'm kind of a Nosy Nate when it comes to the inside of people's houses. Mostly, because you just never know what you'll find. It's always an adventure.

Think about it, there are tons of house that look amazing from the outside, and then you see the inside and it can be a letdown. Maybe the inside needs a ton of work. Maybe kids have all but destroyed it. Or sometimes it goes the other way, and a house can look totally run down on the outside, but gorgeous on the inside. But there's this one house I've always been kind of curious about.
1320 State Street in Veazie...
When I was young, my mom worked in Orono. So often, I'd be with her or my grandparents and we'd drive by this one house on State Street in Veazie, that was all stone from the ground to the roof. There was always something about it that fascinated me. It had this mysterious, wizard-y, Hobbit vibe to it. Or maybe like a mini-castle.
I feel like my grandmother even said she knew someone who lived there at one time. But one thing was for sure, every time we drove by, I always wondered what the inside would look like. Would it be as unique? Was there stone on the inside too? So one can imagine my excitement when I saw the for sale sign recently.
Maine vibes all the way...
As you'll see, it's not medieval or Hobbit-y at all. In fact, it's got strong Maine vibes throughout the whole thing. From it's dark wood trim, to its slate countertops, to its oversized bath tub, it feels like Maine. The house sits on about an acre of land, has just two bedrooms, and is a bit over 1100 sf. It's listed by Sheldon Anderson from Realty of Maine for $299,000.

It's not a huge house, but it's got character for days. It also needs some work. But the bones look solid, so it may just be some minor touchups and you're good to go. And judging by the photos, what it lacks in size, it makes up for it in all the other ways. But hey... check it out for yourself.
