Impressive Renovations To Cameron Stadium In Bangor Are Now Complete: Take A Look
Gordon Contracting, out of Sangerville, has been hard at work on a major renovation project to Bangor's Cameron Stadium since early this Spring.
As we reported this July, a majority of the renovations were being buttoned up this summer, including the artificial turf and the eight-lane track.
According to Constructionjournal.com, the project also included the construction of a new ticket booth, concession stand, and safety netting.
They've also put in new access drives, walkways, fencing, and a retaining wall. A number of electrical upgrades, including a new LED light system, are also in the works.
Well, today was the day that Gordon Construction turned the project back over to the City, having completed the job.
They took this video of their finished product and posted it to their Facebook page, with this message:
"Today was the turnover for our Cameron Stadium Project. Congratulations to the Bangor School District for their improved facility. Thank you for trusting Gordon Contracting."
Despite the overcast, cloudy sky above, the new digs look pretty impressive. From the tone of the comment section, a lot of people approve of the new look, many remarking on their excitement for upcoming games to take place there.
I'm sure Bangor students and athletes are also excited to be able to get onto the new field.
The renovation project cost a total of 5-Million dollars to complete, over half of which came from a voter-approved referendum in 2020.
