Grab an Umbrella! Maine & New Hampshire Will Get Absolutely Dumped on This Weekend

You know what they say, don't you? If you don't like the weather in Maine, just wait a minute and it will change. It truly does seem like this has been the wettest year the state has ever had, we know that's actually not true based on historical meteorological data. Albeit, it has been a super-rainy summer and fall here in New England- and it's not done yet.

The only good things to come from this is that our lawns haven't been this green in years and our wells certainly aren't running dry like some have in recent years. And can you imagine if all this rain had been snow? They say that for every one inch of rain it would equal a foot of snow. Wild, right?

Well get ready for more moisture as WGME 13 says it's going to be a wicked-wet-one this weekend for the Northeast.

While the tail end of our week looks to be pretty dry, with an occasional passing shower, the rain will impact our weekend plans- especially if those plans are outside and don't include an umbrella.

WGME Meteorologist, Christian Bridges, said in his most recent weather blog that this large storm will move into Maine and New Hampshire Friday evening. Rain will likely develop late and continue on Saturday. Bridges says rain will continue through much of Saturday for most of Maine.

He goes onto explain that rain showers will continue into the day on Sunday before eventually tapering off. Rain totals, which are said to be highest in the mountains of western Maine, could reach several inches before the storm moves away.

Temperatures, both the highs and lows, look to start decreasing Friday right through the weekend. Again, just be happy that this isn't snow.....yet.
