Mother Nature is preparing to dump even more of the white stuff across the state overnight.
February in Maine Always Means Snowstorms and Frigid Weather
Punxatawney Phil just predicted 6 more weeks of winter last week, and he didn't lie. Here we go again with more snow piling on top of what's already on the ground.
I'm not a meteorologist, but I think this is turning out to be a pretty classic February in Maine. If it's not snowing, the temperatures are staying brutally cold so, even when the sun is shining, the snow isn't melting.

The good news is that February is the shortest month of the year.
Maine Snowstorm to Start Overnight With Significant Snowfall by Morning
WABI-TV's Todd Simcox says the next winter storm is on its way. It's going to start snowing overnight and there should be between 2 and 5 inches on the ground by daybreak.
That's going to make for a tough morning commute.

Snow showers will continue through the day, with an additional 1 to 3 inches expected before it's done.
Ultimately, this storm will dump 3 to 6" of snow on most of the state, while far northern and southern parts of Maie will get 2 to 4 inches. Some areas may get as much as 8 inches.
Maine Commuters Should Be Prepared for Rough Conditions
Drivers are advised to avoid travel, if possible, give themselves extra time to get to heir destination if they do go out, and prepare for possible slide-offs.
Of course, you can find a list of cancellations and announcements here, like a Citywide parking ban in effect from 11 pm tonight, February 10th, to 6am the next morning in Bangor.
Stay safe and, if you can, stay home.
