Popular Restaurant in Maine to Open 30 New Locations in 2025
This chain, with three restaurants in Maine, has recently announced plans to open dozens of new locations nationwide.
It’s always refreshing to hear about businesses expanding—because no matter how big or small the chain is, new business means growth, jobs, and opportunity. And let’s be honest, that’s a whole lot better than the constant headlines about closings and layoffs.
So, with that in mind, which popular restaurant chain with just a few Maine locations is planning a major nationwide expansion this year?
Texas Roadhouse recently announced that it will open 30 new locations of Texas Roadhouse and its spinoff, Bubba’s 33, across 17 states.
The chain has seen continued success as of late, with growth and rising sales helping it surpass Olive Garden to become the largest casual dining chain in the U.S., according to Technomic.

In 2024, Texas Roadhouse hit $5.5 billion in U.S. sales—a 14.7% jump—while Olive Garden grew just 0.8% to $5.2 billion, ending its seven-year streak at the top.
While none of the new spots are headed to Maine just yet, where locations already exist in Bangor, Augusta, and Scarborough, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if that changes.
And there you have it! Texas Roadhouse, recently named the top casual dining chain in America, has announced plans to open 30 new locations across the country soon.
