‘Maine Roots Co.’ To Open Store In Bangor Mall
An exclusively online Maine brand will be opening their first physical location in Bangor Mall.
Maine Roots Co. will open their first store location in the Bangor Mall. According to an announcement on social media, the new location, next door to Kokopelli's, will open in June. In addition to her signature clothing offerings, owner Bailey will be branching back into her passion for cosmetology. The store will double as a solon, offering skin and hair services, specializing in microblading and lashes. Booking options will be available online.
In addition, the location will allow for same day pick-up for online orders. The plan is for the store to open June 1. Bailey hopes more small businesses in the Bangor area will look to the mall as an option for store space.
While major retailers have opted to leave the Bangor Mall in recent years, local businesses are taking over some of the vacant storefronts. Work is underway to transform four vacant stores in the mall into a new location for G-Force Adventures. The new location will feature their popular laser tag, axe throwing, inflatable obstacle courses, a nightclub, and more. An opening date has yet to be determined.
Organizers of a haunted house inside the mall, Maineiac Manor, announced on Facebook, "Your worst nightmare returning October 2021." The haunt took over a vacant store inside the mall last year, and transformed it into 4,000 square-feet of terror. The success of the attraction extended beyond Halloween season, with a Krampus Christmas themed haunted house back in December.
