Massive Shark Washes Up On Beach In Southern Maine

Just in time for week, only this time looks like the presumed basking shark lost.

I can't imagine what the first person to come across this carcass at Higgins Beach thought they had found.  It looks a little like an alien or sea monster and you can tell from the news person no one was really sure at first.  Since the discovery though twitter has been alive with pictures of the city workers dispensing with the remains. Which is good I love the beaches in Scarborough and I imagine left in the sun you'd have smelled this sea creature long before you tripped over its carcass. Yikes.
