Kate Beckinsale Is “My Girl Friday” [VIDEOS & PHOTOS]

Kate Beckinsale really came to our attention when she kicked some serious butt in the 2003 movie "Underworld"  At that point the English born actress and Oxford University alum moved about 10 or 15 rungs up our "babe-a-meter ladder", which we keep hidden under the back deck, behind the shrubs and away from the wife.

She is the daughter of actor Richard Beckinsale and actress Judy Loe, and they did a fine job as Kate was named "Sexiest Woman Alive" by Esquire Magazine in 2009.

She has described herself as a "late bloomer".  "All of my friends were kissing boys and drinking cider way before me. I found it really depressing that we weren't making camp fires and everyone was else doing grown-up stuff. I loathed being a teenager", said the now fully grown and very much alluring beauty.

While she's known for her action movies, like the recent "Total Recall", she's also been in some pretty good flicks like "The Aviator", "Serendipity", Nothing But The Truth" and "Pearl Harbor".  Look for "The Trials of Cate McCall" some time this year.
