And just like that, the popular Nocturnem Draft Haus in Bangor has some new owners.

This past February, previous owner Gene Beck addressed some rumors that had been circulating around, that the bar was up for sale.

Beck wrote on the Nocturnem Draft Haus Facebook Page:

"I am currently seeking someone to continue the mission of Nocturnem Draft Haus into the future... I have contracted the services of a business broker to seek a buyer for the business. NDH is currently listed as “for sale” on several business listing pages... Everyone here is, and will be, still employed in their current capacities. I do not intend for that to change. Any potential buyer will have to satisfy my thoughts for the future continuation of the business."

Beck continued on to say that the process would depend on any potential buyer showing "worth, desire and passion" to continue the business Beck put together over a decade ago.

Well, it would appear that Beck found just that, in a couple of local familiar faces.

Once again, taking to social media, Beck explained:

"As of today, Tuesday May 23, I am no longer the owner of Nocturnem Draft Haus. The business has been sold and a local couple will be taking NDH into the future. The management and staff are continuing on as the familiar faces that you all know. The new owners, Darren Currier and Sybil Cameon Currier have the desire to continue the NDH mission as we have in the past, but also interjecting a fresh perspective for the future in Downtown Bangor."

Beck went on to thank patrons for stopping in to visit throughout the last 13 years he's owned the place. He mentioned the major milestones he's been able to experience at the helm of Nocturnem, not the least of which was meeting his wife there.

Here's hoping this next chapter is a good one for Beck and his family. And we look forward to seeing where the Curriers will steer the ship, now that they are at the wheel.
