POLL RESULTS: Here Are The Best Fried Clams In Eastern Maine
In the process of asking for extra tartar sauce our listeners and online readers took a moment to tell us where to go for the best fried clams in eastern Maine. Well, after a week of voting the results are in!
While fried clams may take a second seat to lobster during the warm summer months there is no doubt that high school girls working the take out windows everywhere are dishing 'em out left and right to both tourists from New Jersey and locals alike. Whether with onion rings or fries, a touch of lemon or smothered in tartar sauce, people dig them long after they've been dug up from the flats of downeast Maine and then scooped from the fryer at your favorite snack bar or restaurant.
Our online poll listed restaurants, take-outs, snack bars and food trucks spread out all across eastern Maine that are listed on Yelp, Trip Advisor and Google, and after hundreds of votes we've determined the top 10. So, grab a wet one to wash those hands with and let's dig in.
