According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, at the beginning of the month, shots were allegedly fired by masked individuals during a home invasion on Danforth Drive in Glenburn,  Sunday August 3rd.

Following the arrival of law enforcement officials, the suspects scattered and one of the wanted men ended up allegedly breaking into a different house on the Lake View Road. In the process of trying to hide from the cops, the person let the dog, who was hanging out a the house alone, out the door.

Deemed friendly but timid, Rosie managed to elude everyone who was out and about looking for her, for the better part of 10 days.
