
Sheriffs Seek Info About Alleged Weekend Assault On Levant Playground
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office is looking for anyone who may have witnessed an alleged assault that took place on the playground of the Levant School last weekend.
They have pictures of the vehicle they believe to be involved.
According to a recent press release put out by the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, authorities say the vehicle, was driven by a man with a female passenger. The post goes on to say that the sheriffs believe the female passenger left the vehicle and made contact with some kids playing nearby.
"On Friday, August 19, 2022 at approximately 7:30pm, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault that took place on the playground of the Levant School. The vehicle seen in this picture was occupied by two adults. A female from the vehicle assaulted one of three youth who were playing on the playground before leaving the area."

Sheriffs say they are also reviewing video footage from nearby to help with the investigation. If anyone has any information about the incident that took place or can identify the vehicle in question, they'd like you to contact the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division at 947-4585.
