Standing Tall And Proud, Massachusetts Police Dog Nero Recovers From His Gunshot Wound

A picture says a thousand words.  Only two matter.  Nero strong.

It's been almost two weeks since Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon and his K-9 partner Nero were shot while serving a warrant.  As you know by now, Officer Gannon died, but Nero survived his gunshot wounds.

We're happy to see that Nero is recovering nicely.  As the Facebook post says, he hasn't fully recovered, but he's on his way!  The dog's survival has given grief stricken Cape Cod and New England for that matter a little bit of comfort after a horrible incident.

We have to wonder.  Do you think Nero is aware how many of his brothers paid tribute to his fallen partner last week?  Watch this VIDEO as hundreds K-9 Officers and their partners from all over the country line the side of the road as Officer Gannon was escorted to his final resting place.
