Does A Yield Include Your Brake Pedal? Maine State Police Say Yes

Seems like for most of my life I have been having the conversation of what it means to "yield."

I knew someone once that told me it meant to "blend in." Yeah, that was a long conversation. So how pleased am I to see our own State Police reiterate what I have been saying all along ... sometimes to the person driving my when I am a passenger and sometimes to the idiot that cut me off.

Yes Virginia, yielding is not merging.

The worst places I have found for these "blenders" is the Interstate on ramp from Bangor's Stillwater Ave. Good Lord people, look and brake. Gunning it at me when there is another car in the passing lane is just dumb and annoying. And then there is that whole "against the law" thing they are so kindly pointing out.

Seriously, if people could understand a yield sign both highways and rotaries would be a heck of a lot better.
