Yes, it has happened again! Despite signs warning of the danger, someone drove their car onto the bar, heading from Bar Harbor to Bar Island on Sunday afternoon, July 11, and got stuck.

They had to have driven right by this huge sign.

We are told that the car was successfully towed out before high tide resumed, but we know it also entailed a hefty towing fee!

Still, this is nothing compared to what happened to this unfortunate car in October of 2020.

This car was stuck on Bar Island with the tide coming in. High Tide was at 1:35 p.m. on Monday, October 5th. Low Tide is at 7:54 p.m.

Subsequent photos have shown the water up to the wheel wells. Hopefully, they were able to move the vehicle.

We're anticipating photos from the Acadia Towing around 5 p.m. when they are able to go out there and assist the vehicle.
