Victoria’s Secret Closes Bangor Mall Store

Another Bangor Mall business suddenly has closed its doors.

Victoria's Secret in the Bangor Mall has closed. Customers Monday found the gates closed in front of the Bangor location. A spokesperson for Victoria's Secret parent company, L Brands, on Tuesday confirmed the Bangor store was closed.

A mall employee said the store was being emptied of inventory Tuesday morning.

According to Victoria's Secret website, the lone remaining Maine location is now in South Portland at the Maine Mall.

According to CNBC, L Brands planned to downsize as part of a cost-cutting measure. Back in May the company said it was planning to close 250 stores in the U.S. and Canada. Additional closures are expected in 2021 and 2022.

Most recently, in July, Lane Bryant closed its Bangor Mall store.
