I am NOT typically the kind of gal who watches movies that would fall into a "Romantic" category. But I will make one exception; it's a movie that no matter where or when it's on, I will stop what I am doing and watch it from whatever point I find it until it ends.

I'm not sure if it's the dancing, the acting, or the killer soundtrack, but the 1987 Romantic Drama "Dirty Dancing" is my one guilty pleasure.

I could not think of a more entertaining way to start the New Year than to join other fellow fans, who would never imagine putting Baby in a corner but instead fill a giant theater and watch this iconic movie on the big screen.

What's even better than that? Adding live musicians to perform the movie's soundtrack!

"Enjoy the digitally remastered hit film like never before on a full-size cinema screen, with a live band and singers performing the film’s iconic songs. With a soundtrack that marked a generation, Dirty Dancing in Concert promises to bring a thrilling new and unique experience to the 80s classic."

"Immerse yourself in the timeless romance and experience one of the most memorable movies of the past 35 years – now live!"

If you've forgotten some of the musical gems from this masterpiece, you need to look no further than the entertainment industry's award roster for that year.

The movie's most memorable (and constantly repeated) last dance of the movie featured none other than Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes singing "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" which won the trifecta of an Oscar for for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe for Best Original Song, and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
