As Martha will tell you in the video these candies have been around since the turn of the century.  It’s known as America’s oldest candy company, the New England Confectionery Company, could be closing.

News has come out that NECCO is in debt owing nearly $100 million to lenders. If they don't find a buyer they will be forced to close.

According to since the news broke people have been hoarding NECCO wafers just in case.
