A Bus, A Tractor-Trailer And A Lumber Truck Crashed In Hermon Thursday
Authorities say a crash involving 3 large vehicles at a Hermon intersection Thursday morning caused a delay in traffic for a short while in that area.
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 11:20 AM, where the Odlin Rd. meets the Coldbrook Rd.
They said the crash involved a school bus, a Dysart's tractor-trailer truck hauling fuel, and a flatbed carrying lumber.
"When deputies arrived they found the lumber truck and tractor-trailer were stationary at the traffic light on Coldbrook Road facing Hermon Village."
"A school bus that had turned left from the Odlin Road onto Coldbrook Road lost control striking the lumber truck first, forcing it into the tractor-trailer. The bus driver became distracted when his seatbelt unhooked allowing him to fall out of his seat and down the bus stairs. The bus crashed into the side of the lumber truck forcing it into the tractor-trailer."
There were no children on board the bus at the time of the crash, and while the bus driver was treated for minor injuries, the Sheriff's Office says no one else was hurt.
