Abi Hodgson, 28, a Lewiston native, military wife and mother of two, is on her way to the America's Got Talent semi finals beginning on August 27th!

Abi is part of the 36 member American Military Spouses Choir which performed live at Radio City Music in front the America's Got Talent judges, the show was aired August 6th on channel two.

Abi trained her vocal chords by singing in church, her father is pastor at South Lewiston Baptist Church, she also sang in high school.

She currently resides in North Carolina near her husband's military base.

She had never sang in front of such a big crowd before, much less being on national television.  "It was just overwhelming, surreal," said Hodgson.

The semifinalists will begin performing on the Aug. 27 episode of America's Got Talent. The show airs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  The grand prize is $1 million!

The American Military Spouses Choir represents all four branches of the United States Military Service - Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. All the spouses have partners who are currently serving in the military. They were brought together by the non-profit Center for American Military Music Opportunities (CAMMO). They wish to inspire and support not only their fellow military family and service members, but the nation as a whole.
