The latest foliage report shows the Bangor area will soon be fully ablaze in fall colors.

Maine's foliage is getting closer to prime in southern and central areas of the state. According to the Maine Foliage Report, the Bangor area, north to Millinocket, as well as far southern and western areas of the state, will reach peak conditions this week. Much of Aroostook County peaked last week, and is now listed as past peak. Leaf drop is beginning to increase, which is good news for bird hunters up north.

Downeast and coastal areas have not reached prime conditions just yet.
