COVID Positive Employee Causes Bangor DOT Office to Close Thursday
The Department of Transportation office in Bangor closed temporarily Thursday after an employee there tested positive for COVID.
The good news is that the closure is temporary. Maine Department of Transportation officials closed the Region 4 office in Bangor on Thursday morning, after an employee within the facility tested positive for COVID-19. Health officials are working to determine close contacts of the employee, who was last seen in the office on Tuesday and is now isolating. Officials say no members of the public have been identified as coming into close contact with the affected individual.

No information was released about the employee, but Maine DOT officials say they wish that person a speedy recovery. All Maine Department of Transportation offices have instituted appropriate physical distancing, face covering, and sanitation policies.
