
Bangor Man Arrested For Attempted Murder After Machete Attack, Authorities Say
Authorities say a 24-year-old man from Bangor was arrested Thursday evening, after allegedly attacking another man with a machete.
Bangor Police Department's Public Information Officer, Sgt. Jeremy Brock says officers were called to the area of Sunset Avenue, off of Union Street, after witnesses just after 6:30 PM, when witnesses reported a man attacking another individual with a knife.

"Officers arrived and located the victim, who was able to disarm his attacker, and observed several lacerations on his head. He was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and is expected to recover. The victim identified Wright, his neighbor, as the attacker and explained they had issues in the past."
Authorities were able to catch up to Wright, who had initially fled the scene, and took him into custody.

Write was charged with Aggravated Attempted Murder, Elevated Aggravated Assault, and Aggravated Assault.
He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail for processing.
