Some people let their dogs get so far away from them within the grounds of the Bangor Waterfront, that at times the animals may attack a smaller dog, or even a person just enjoying a sunny day.

The Bangor City Council has been debating a new ordinance that would require all dogs on the Bangor Waterfront, between the Sea Dog and Dutton Street, to be leashed at all times.

Currently, dogs must be under "voice control" at all times in that very busy area of the City.

Councilor Ben Sprague said via Facebook that he would support the new ordinance.

Seems like the right way to go for us.
