Bangor Police Locate Elderly Man Who Suffered Medical Issue In City Forest

A missing elderly man was located Friday in Bangor City Forest and then taken to the hospital after suffering a medical issue.

Shortly after 11 a.m., police received information that an individual may be lost or injured in the City Forest, Bangor police said in a news release.

The police department, with assistance from the Maine Warden Service and the Bangor Fire Department, initiated a search.

The 74-year-old man was located just before 3 p.m.

The man required immediate medical assistance and was transported to a local hospital.

The release provided no further details on the man's medical issue.
