Bangor Sandwich Company Moves, Opens New Larger Location In Old Grind House Storefront Downtown

While they haven't moved far geographically (literally right next door), Bangor Sandwich Company considers their recent move a major one. They now have almost double the space they used to, to spread out and grow.

The original Bangor Sandwich Company shop, started by Mark and Kim Hopper, opened on Hammond Street in 2020.

Acquired by Joe and Jen Ramos in 2022, they have grown the business. And after 6 years in the Hammond Street location, the opportunity to move to the One Central Street location presented itself when the Grind House Coffee Shop closed.

That particular spot was also home for years to another popular cafe/sandwich shop called Giacomos.

The folks at Bangor Sandwich Company have spent weeks making the transition and finally held a grand reopening this week, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday morning.

"Come celebrate our new location with us! We have been here since the beginning of June, and we are loving it!  The larger kitchen, larger dining area, expanded menu, the windows!!!"

Folks from the Downtown Bangor Partnership, along with their neighbors and community members, came out to welcome them to their new space.

The new space offers indoor and outdoor seating, and also in-store pick-up options.

Their website says they are open Monday through Saturday, 11 AM to 6 PM, and closed on Sundays.
