Parents in Bangor received an email this week, alerting them that their children may have been exposed to COVID-19 in school.

The message stated that one or more people connected to Bangor High School, Abraham Lincoln School, Fruit Street, and William S. Cohen schools have been in contact with someone who was exposed to the virus. WABI-TV reports that three people are in quarantine at home. No one connected to the Bangor School system is currently showing symptoms of the virus.

Schools remain open and are not changing their current plan. Parents are encouraged to continue well-child and personal checks in the morning, and students are required to continue wearing masks, physically distancing, and washing hands often.

Anyone who comes in contact with someone who's positive for COVID-19 should contact the school.
