Bar Harbor Council Votes 6-1 to Allow FREE Parking on July 4th
After intense confusion and concern over the plan to continue charging parking fees at meters and kiosks on the 4th of July, the Bar Harbor Town Council met in emergency session on Monday, night, July 1st.
By a vote of 6-1, the Town Council waived enforcement of parking at paid meters and kiosks on the 4th of July. This coincides with the fact that anyone can park on the streets that are now limited to those with parking permits on the 4th only.
The lone councilor voting against the waiver was Councilor Steven Coston.
