Belfast PD squirrels

This could be one of the nuttier calls of the week.

How cool is this?  Sgt. John Gibbs of the Belfast Police Department was called out to the Church Street area this week when concerned citizens discovered four hungry baby squirrels that had fallen out of a nest high up in a tree.  In the Facebook POST, Sgt. Gibbs mentioned that he thought the squirrel's mother had been hit by a car a few days earlier.

So, after gathering up the four siblings and then letting them crawl all over himself for a while, the happy officer then took them to the Belfast Veterinary Hospital to be checked out.  Folks there said that they all were very hungry but otherwise in good condition, and then the cheerful crawling continued.
