From Hardy Street off South Main to the other side of the Penobscot Bridge, the Brewer Riverwalk is most impressive!

Phase II of the paved path that extends along the Brewer banks of the Penobscot River has been completed, and the City will celebrate with a Grand Opening on Saturday, June 8th.

The Festival will take place near the entrance of the Walk near Penobscot Street.  The official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 1PM.  Area businesses in that area will be hosting a celebration between 11 and 4, with live music, dance, guest speakers, chair massage, and even a fun run/walk starting at 2.

Free parking is available for this event on Betton Street, the City Hall Parking lot and the Archer Block parking lot on the corner of North Main and Wilson Streets.  There will also be a shuttle trolley (which is pretty cool) taking people back and forth between the Brewer Auditorium and downtown.

The Brewer Riverwalk makes for a really nice walk on the quiet side of the river!  By the way, it's also a favorite place of many to take in a concert when they happen across the river at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.
