It's been 4 years since local photographer/entrepreneur and Brewer City Councilor Soubanh Phanthay opened up what he called a 'Selfie Museum' called Selfie Space.

Located on the top floor of the Creative Arts Center building at 54 Wilson Street, Selfie Space features multiple vibrant backdrops and scenes folks can use to take some of the coolest-looking selfies imaginable.
While it's been open to the public to book private photo shoots and work events and such, it was announced this weekend, that the museum portion of the space will be closing up mid-April, Phanthay says.
He says the studio space will still be available to rent, and they will still hold classes in the building and produce podcasts, but the museum backgrounds will be deconstructed and the space restored to its old glory.
He posted the announcement on their Facebook Page so that folks who had gift certificates they needed to use up, would have the time to do so, while it was still in it's current state.
Phanthay says the Pro Photo room will still be available for rental, as it has been one of their most popular options.
He says they do have some alternative ideas for what else can be done in that space which he will share with folks in the near future.
