Brewer’s Riverwalk Trail to Expand

The beautiful Brewer Riverwalk is growing next year!

At a city council meeting yesterday, Brewer officials voted to name the trail along the Penobscot river the Brewer's Riverwalk Trail. Last summer DOT crews paved a trail along the Brewer riverfront. They also installed lighting, rails and plants.

Using money from a federal grant, Brewer leaders approved a plan to continue with construction. The trail would extend from the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge to the Veterans Remembrance Bridge, more than half a mile away.

Brewer officials hope to break ground in Spring.
