Fire officials now say one person died in an early morning fire in Camden that also sent four others to the hospital.

The fire was reported just after 1:00 Thursday morning at a home on Mt. Battie Street. Flames engulfed the house and at least one vehicle parked out in front of the residence. The BDN reports the deceased person's body is being taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta, for an autopsy. The extent of the other victims' injuries is not known, at this time.
