This Wednesday is National Coffee with a Cop Day, and police departments across the state will be taking part, including the one in Holden.

One event will be in Holden at Dunkin' Donuts, located where G & M Family Market is, on the Main Road (RTE. 1A), between 7 and 11 a.m.

Chief Chris Greeley tells us that this will be the second year that the Department will be taking part, and that the officers are looking forward to talking with folks about matters of importance to those residents of the town.

They'll also be holding a local food drive at the same time, collecting food for those in need in that area.  So, if you can, drop off a non-perishable food item that a family would appreciate.

As an added bonus in Holden, the Chief will be bringing along Maine Secretary of State Matt Dunlap and State Senator Kim Rosen.

Stop by and grab a cup of coffee and make your thoughts known to those that serve your community.  Don't forget that food donation!
