Crews Work to Replace Power Pole After Holden Accident

Traffic is slowed on Route 1A in Holden this morning, as crews work to replace a power pole damaged in an accident.

The initial report of the accident came in before 7:00 Thursday morning. According to Holden Police Chief Chris Greeley, a truck hit a utility pole. An ambulance was called to the scene, but there's no word on the extent of any injuries.

First thing this morning, Versant was not reporting an outage. But, as of 8:30, they reported 258 customers without power in Holden. This, as line crews with bucket trucks worked to replace the damaged pole. Traffic is slowed, and backing up into Dedham, as the accident scene is cleared and the pole replacement completed.
