Dick’s Sporting Goods Bans Gun Sales To Those Under 21

The company will also no longer sell "assault-style" rifles and high capacity magazines.

This morning, Dick's Sporting Goods posted an extended message to Facebook that said the company had legally sold a shotgun to the 19 year-old Parkland school shooter.  The letter went on to say that the gun was not the gun that the suspect had used to kill seventeen people, but it could have been.

So the company will not sell guns to those under the age of 21 from this point on, which is now a step ahead of any local, state and federal government action.

In our area, Dick's Sporting Goods is located at the Bangor Mall.
