Dog Who Fled A Vehicle Crash In Hermon 2 Weeks Ago Has Been Found
A family pet, who got spooked and ran off when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a motor vehicle accident on September 13, has been found.
She was spotted, shortly after the accident happened, in the area of Hillcrest Drive in Hermon, not far from the location of the crash.
Daisy's owners and volunteers from the community have been on the lookout for the pooch since the 13th.
There were a few sightings, here and there, but no real leads until late this week.
And finally, a happy ending to this story.
According to WABI TV 5, Daisy returned home Friday morning.
"Her owners, Brandon and Katie Shaw, as well as countless community volunteers, have spent every day since working to bring her home. After a couple of recent sightings, they set up a live trap lined with clothes Thursday night. Daisy followed the scent, and Friday morning the Shaws got the call they’d been waiting for...She spent most of Friday sleeping."
Daisy was in the live trap and has since been returned to the Shaws. The report goes on to say that aside from a cut on the head, which the owners believe she got during the crash, the dog is in good health and good spirits.
The family extends their appreciate to all who helped search for Daisy.
