Flick Chick Review ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2′

Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Over the weekend I gave leave of my senses and headed to the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2’.

This movie runs just about an hour and a half and is considered comedy, sci-fi. The film is rated R violence, nudity, language and drug use. The film stars Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke and Adam Scott

Summary:

Four years ago on a ski trip Nick, Lou and Jacob found a hot tub time machine that sent them back to the 80’s. Since that time the trio of friends has used their knowledge of the future to make themselves rich.  All seems fine until Lou is shot leading them to get back into the time machine to try and save his life. However, this time instead of sending them back in time it sends them to the future, because the time machine sends you where you need to go.

Review:

Stupid, stupid ,stupid.  I am talking about myself and the movie.  I saw the first one and it was awful. Still I was sucked into thinking this one might be better and it was not. Not only do the trailers show you all the most amusing moments but they jumble them up giving you the indication of a better plot.  The language is horrid, the humor is for 12 year old boys and I didn’t think it could be written worse than the first installment and I was wrong. Even its target audience in the theatre with me at the time might have chuckled twice. Wow. So on a scale of 1-10, I’m giving ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2’ a 3.
