Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Over the weekend I flipped a coin and headed at the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see 'It Follows'. This movie runs an hour and a half and is considered by some to be horror. This film is rated R for disturbing violent and sexual content including graphic nudity, and language.  The movie stars Maika Monroe, Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto, Jake Weary, Olivia Luccardi

Summary:

This movie follows the sexual exploits (literally) of teenagers who unleash a murderous evil on each other passed by having sex.

Review:

Oh, where do I begin.  Let me start by saying I like a good horror film as much as the next person but "good" should be the definitive term here.  What is good you ask? Like any film scary movies still need to give you a developed plot and or reason for your interest in the story, a little character development and hopefully a reasonable conclusion. This movie has none of that. It is really 50 shades of stupid.  The premise, if you can call it that, is the existence of an evil force who’s murderous intentions are passed from teen to teen by having sex without an explanation as to why it does or where it came from.  Adding to the boring factor of this nemesis… is that it walks after all its intended victims and show up when it feels like it. Trying to somehow keep you interest  this movie fills in with so many stupid gratuitous boobs, naked scenes, and passed by sex so you do the math, capped off  by way of making it someone else’s problem instead of defeating the thing just puts the icing on the please don’t waste your money and time on this cake. Who lives who dies? Trust me you won’t care. So on a scale of 1-10, I’m giving It Follows' a 1 out of sympathy for the actors.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
