Flick Chick Review ‘Penguins Of Madagascar’

Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Over the weekend grabbed my flippers and headed to the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see 'Penguins Of Madagascar'

This movie runs about and 1 1/2 hours is an animated adventure comedy and is rated PG for some mild action and rude humor. The film starsthe voices Tom McGrath, Chris Miller, Chris Knights, John Malkovich, Benedict Cumberbatch

Summary:

This movie tells the tails of the brave beginnings and family nature of the penguins of Madagascar and how they evolve into the elite foursome we have some to know so well. In this movie we are taken from their youth to an epic battle against an Octopus named Dave with a vendetta against all cute penguins. In this adventure the penguins are challenged by another group of freedom fighters the North Wind who view them as helpless and unhelpful but the  Skipper, Rico, Kowolski and Private are out to prove them wrong.

Review:

Probably the most exciting thing about this movie was seeing the Star Wars 7 trailer for the first time on the big screen. Oh well, we all know some animation is innovative and thought provoking in its cuteness and some is just cute.  That is the ‘Penguins of Madagascar’ the plot was cute the characters were cute and the overall experience was O.K..  Great for the little ones it is colorful and moves along pretty well. I am thinking that if there is another family film out to be considered though it might be better to wait for this one on video. So on a scale of 1-10, An animated 10 being ‘Finding Nemo’ or’ Monsters Inc’ I’d give ‘Penguins of Madagascar 6.
