Seriously, I know that parents worry and may even fear the day their teenager starts to drive so if you are considering a new car for your teen this may seem like good news to you. Ford has come out with a new technology to provide peace of mind for parents by letting them set a limit on the car's speed and by tracking the location of their teenage driver on the road.

Ford's MyKey lets you set the maximum speed of the car and limit the volume of the audio system. Beeper reminders also sound as the car reaches designated speeds. General Motors Family Link tracks the location of the car driven by a teenager and sends text messages to the parents if it is driven outside a stipulated area. The designer at Ford is a Dad who had a daughter who was in several accidents and he was inspired. Wanna see?
