We saw this the other day on the DOT Facebook page and were facilitated by the simplicity. The tracks are set a blaze with a purpose. 

Have you ever seen anything like this?  With all the tracks all over the Bangor area you'd have thought we'd have heard of or seen this plan in action. Back in my Grandfather's day with the B&A they would use a diesel soaked rope to correct the problem. We found a more current site that explains how it has gone without notice if they used near by.  In today's modern society they use a gel that is smokeless and the leaves no residue. They go on to tell that it is environmentally safe as well. Cool.
