I am so pumped X-files is coming back to television.  As a faithful watcher even to the point of seeing the movies I never thought I’d enjoy the series again outside of Netflix.  According to FOX they have commissioned 6 new episodes.  Oh but it doesn’t stop there David Duchovny and Jillian Andersen will be returning as Mulder and Scully.

The release says we’ll have it sometime this summer.  After a 13 year hiatus we’ll be back in the thick of things with Mulder and Scully, my questions is will it pick up from the series end or from the last movie? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

In case you’ve never seen the show here is your X-FILES history lesson. It originally premiered in September 1993.  It followed the careers of FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. His job was to seek out alien encounters and unexplainable phenomenon and hers was to try and find the logical explanation.  Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully (Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny) as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

Here is a link to the scariest alien abduction movie I have ever seen.
