Good news for anyone in Eastern Maine with a sweet tooth!

Earlier this week, we reported that Frank's Bake Shop was among the latest Greater Bangor eateries to shut down temporarily after one of their workers came in contact with a positive Covid 19 case.

Management made the decision Tuesday to close everything down and do a deep clean and some testing.

They also worked closely with the Maine CDC to make sure they handled the situation appropriately.

According to the Frank's Bake Shop and Catering Facebook Page, the employee, who did end up taking a Covid test, which came back positive, did not have any direct contact with the public. And that person has been isolating at home, and is doing ok.

This afternoon, Frank's Management made the announcement that they had a plan to reopen next week.

"After contacting the Maine CDC for guidance, Frank’s Bakery & Custom Catering will safely reopen on Monday 11/9/2020 for our normal business hours.
Because we care about all of our customers and staff and because we understand there are varying comfort levels, Frank’s will continue to offer phone-ahead orders, in-store pickup, and curbside takeout."
The post went on to thank their patrons for their patience, understanding and for "standing by them" during these difficult times.
Frank's supporters flooded their page with comments of encouragement and appreciation for their transparency during the ordeal, and for taking precautions to keep their customers safe.
