Glenburn Plans A Day Of Family Fun Next Month
One of the local family fun activities my family looks forward to each year is the Glenburn Community Festival. Food, games, music, and fireworks are all in one spot where the kids can run safely, and you're bound to bump into someone you know.
The year's festivities will kick off Saturday, June 18th at noon at the Glenburn Elementary School, 991 Hudson Road.
According to the Facebook Event Page, there will be no shortage of activities for you and yours to partake in.
Kicking off with a Car Show at 9 AM followed by a Craft Fair at 10 AM, the fun for the kiddos will begin at 11 when the cornhole competition starts, and at 11:30, when the bounce house opens for the day.
A parade through town (starting up at the Dollar General) will take place at noon.
The afternoon will feature live music from the Hermon Pan Band and several rounds of Tactical Nerf from 1 PM to 3 PM.
There will be some fun costumed characters walking the grounds, in case your child wants a photo taken with one.
Save room for a big chicken BBQ that starts at 4.
After dinner, the kids can find a spot and take in the movie Encanto on the big screen.
And to finish the night off, there will be a fireworks display. And as someone who has been to the festival several times, I can tell you, that this is not a rinky-dink display; It's pretty impressive.
So dress for the weather- grab your family, a lawn chair or blanket, some sunscreen, and some bug spray, and get ready for an afternoon of memory-making at the Glenburn Community Festival.
