New Holiday Lights Experience Opens In Hampden This December
Jeniffer Andrews and her family have spent years adding a little extra holiday magic to their neighborhood by creating whimsical Christmas displays in the yard of their Hampden home.
For the past 5 years, they have held outdoor viewings of the movie 'Polar Express' for family and friends. This year, however, they've decided to do something a little bit different. They've created a Holiday Trail, and for the first time, they're opening it up to the public.
According to The Andrews Family Christmas Trail Facebook Event Page, they will open the trail up to visitors on the weekend of Friday, December 6th through Sunday, December 8th, from 4:30 PM -7:30 PM.
"Our hope is to create a safe, joy-filled night, filled with peace and beautiful memories for all of you! Come walk our trails, take pictures, bring your hot cocoa and coffee, and take your time….. we will have the Christmas music playing on the trails….."
Andrews says the trail should be easy enough for most people to make their way through, with little trouble, even if you have something like a wagon for the little ones.
"The trail is comparable to cobblestone. We have taken our 2-year-old grandson out in a wagon many times, it is a little bumpy, but doable, especially if it’s a heavier wagon."
She says it would be helpful for them to know how many people plan to attend, do RSVPing via the Facebook Page is appreciated. There are no pets allowed on the trail, and they ask for everyone to be respectful of the props along the trail, as it did take a lot of time and effort to set everything up.
This is a free event.
