Hey You Guys! Finish Out August With A Classic 80s Flick In A Belfast Park!
I can't think of a better way to bid farewell to August than watching a cult classic, up on the big screen, outside, in a beautiful town... for free!
It's become a thing lately, where towns offer to show movies outside. Some are charging admission. Some are not.

Throughout the summer, the organization Our Town Belfast has been putting on free outdoor movies at Steamboat Landing. The group's goal is to create opportunities for people to come together and appreciate the people and places that make up their unique community.
"Our Town Belfast is a community-driven Main Street organization whose mission is to grow and sustain our historic downtown while celebrating our unique cultural heritage."
In July, they kicked off this year's series with 'The Sandlot' and 'The Boys In The Boat.' The first August movie, 'A Night At The Museum', was canceled due to poor weather. But they plan to end the series on a high note, with a fan favorite for all ages.
According to their event page, the summer's last movie will be the 80s cult classic Richard Donner's 'The Goonies.'
The movie will start, just around sunset on Friday, August 26th (which is scheduled for 7:27 PM) at Steamboat Landing. There is no cost to watch the movie. All are welcome. You may want to bring a blanket or lawn chair and some bug spray.
