Tuesday, September 11th, is the 17th anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history.  Almost 3000 people lost their lives that day in New York City, at the Pentagon in Virginia, and in a field in Pennsylvania.  Even more would have died if there hadn't been a reserve of blood on the shelves.

This year’s American Red Cross Roll Up Your Sleeve and Remember Blood Drive happens Tuesday, Sept. 11th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Holden Fire Department, 570 Main Road, Route 1A, in Holden.

It only takes about an hour to give the gift of life, and it's a painless process!

To schedule your appointment today, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or use the Blood Donor App. Enter sponsor code: REMEMBER.

All donors get to spin "The Prize Wheel", where you could win, well, PRIZES!
